Bum steer MGB

Leafy country lanes are the best places to break down. Especially on such a nice Spring afternoon

This was a new one to me: the steering wheel just dropped into my lap.

Ho-hum and such exclamations. The steering column's sliding mounts had moved out of their brackets.
Things have to get worse before they get better, someone said, so the plastic surround was removed to gain access to the bolts and mounts.
But finally the steering wheel was hoisted into it's intended position and we could drive home for a permanent repair. All bolts are now in place and tight, so all's well now. But I think I'd better check these bolts every half decade or so...
