When we checked and cleaned the brakes on Black Betty a short while ago we noticed some dirt on one of the cylinders, so new parts were ordered a brake overhaul planned. When we found time to actually fit the new parts, this is what we saw after removing one of the front drums. That front cylinder was really bad, so all the front cylinders and shoes were to be replaced.

New Cylinders fitted. Of course the short copper pipe at the back didn't come off in one piece, so we made new ones.
The rear Cylinders looked fine, but the shoes were worn too thin, so they were replaced too. Now Bettties brakes are as good as Minor brakes can be. Much better.
