Austin Ten brake shoes and lubrication

 After so many years the front brake shoes of the Austin Ten needed renewal.

 As these brake shoes are not easily available like those on a Minor or MGB the quickest way to get them renewed locally. 

 After cleaning the brakes the renewed shoes are fitted. Looks pretty.

As we greased all the lubrication points too we got a little messy. I decided to leave the oil for a while as it was brand new with hardly any mileage after the last service in 2017.

 So after a quick wash the car looks presentable again.
