A100 exhausted

The trusty van doesn't seem to feature often on this blog. But it's behaving too good usually to need much work other than a tweak and an oilchange, so there's really not much to write usually. It's those pesky ones that got most coverage. But now the silencers (mufflers) on the exhaust of the A100 were old and slightly leaky. Replaced them with two Flowtech "Raptors". These are slightly better silenced, but the glorious low sound of the V8 has been silenced a little. I suppose that's because the old ones were "absorbtion" only as the new ones use "baffles" too. Still it's a good set. These silencers are slightly smaller too, so they don't hang as low. I think the right hand pipe needs some bending upwards or I'll get a few 45degree bends to move the exhausts to the side some some more. But that's for later. Meanwhile I think it's an improvement to be rid of the old popcan-tips.

Old and new. Interesting how the old silencers had a 2" entry and bin-sized exit pipe.

The old drainpipes and Coke-can extensions.

Re-use not an option...
