Wolseley Ten tank leak fix

 

The old fuel tank on the Wolseley Ten sprang a leak.

It was easy draining the fuel through this hole rusted through the bottom of the tank.Good thing I had enough containers close.

I decided welding the fuel tank was not a safe option, so after cleaning up the hole I made up a metal plate and screwed this over the hole smothered in a high-spec epoxy resin.  

After a second coat of resin I left it to set before I applied a coat of satin black to match the rest of the tank. Now I think the fuel tank looks somewhat Steampunk-pretty.
