The river still runs fairly high for the time of the year. Thought I'd try to make a nice loop while the water runs over the dam at one of the creeks
Sure enough the water was high enough. The dam is more of a "dune"in this photo, but there are plans to build a concrete weir, so this might be the last time I can do this. It is the wider sandy spot in the middle of the photo. North-West from the word "Fort". This Google Maps photo was taken when the river was at the (lower) usual level. 
It was beautiful and as usual the photos don't do it justice, but this time water got into the waterproof camera housing and fogged the lens with psychedelic effect. The sun on the water and the water under the trees should have produced some great photos. I even found a bird's nest floating in the shade.
