Mini van A panel positioning

There was some nasty rust in the double skinned A panel on our little Mini van.
After removal of the outer panel we could see the full extent of the damage. Both panels were replaced by new ones with some difficulty as the fit and shape was rather poor compared to the panels we used several years ago to repair the A panel on the other side of the car. The rear part of the front wing had rusted too, so that was patched and the flange reconstructed.

After painting new hinges were fitted as well.

A small hole turned into several slightly bigger repairs.

After some final fitting, paint and a thorough service, the van passed the safety test and was back on the road.
