Bronco Carb to go

The Holly in place.

All there

This is the old carburator.

The flat spot at acceleration was really annoying. Maddening would be a better word.
Movement more like a camel bounce than an equestrian stride.
I decided it was time for a change
the Carburator was prime suspect. So I changed the Autolite for a Holley I
had bought for the J10. The J10 runs on LPG all the time, so I could fit the
old carb that I kept from the earlier swap without any loss of functionality.
Fitting the new Hollley had sensational effect. Massive improvement, no flat
spot at all. Why didn't I do that earlier? It's a bit big at 600cfm and in
theory that could be a disadvantage at "pickup". But it seems to work well
so far. I'll try this for a while and maybe get the correct 500cfm
carburator later.
Meanwhile driving the Bronco now is wonderful. Bliss! Even comfortable!
