Looking at the pictures of the Mini-repairs by the pro's reminded me of all the work I did on my old Mini Van. Here are some old pictures of my rust-busting efforts! I think I didn't do so bad as most of these repairs have already lasted almost twenty years now. The last welding I did on this car was an A-panel and the floorboards a couple of years ago. After all those years I think the car has been effectively been cut through the middle exept for the tunnel in the floor and sides of the roof. Over the years I've replaced all sill sections, front floorboards, doors, A-panels, wings, pront panel, bonnet, rear valence and doorsill, subframe, engine(twice) brakes(often), seats, floormats etc. Oh, the rear doors are the factory ones. They'll be replaced sometime.......
Drastic floor boarding
A nice view of the garage floor
New exhaust too!
Some small repairs to the wheelarch
New(dusty) floor boards
New fiat 500 sunroof
Rusty A-panel almost removed. A pretty efficient rust-trap.
inner A panel rewened
outer..
Old school paint polishing.
Late Eighties I think.....
