Picked up the Jeep CJ today. It was ready after an extensive rebuild of the gearbox and transfer case. I took the opportunity to take it for an extended testrun and a chance to see more of the high waters. The gearbox is much more quiet. Though I can still hear a slight whining noise the shrill wailing I'm used to has gone. I would say there's a Lexus quality if I use my earmuffs. Also the oilleaks have been fixed with new seals.
