Today I visited Gipsy spares.I bought a pickup hardtop and a spare headgasket. There were some gipsies for sale. I fancied the white pickup and the blue " number one".
The blue one is very tempting. Supposedly it is the first off the line in 1958. This is verified by a Heritage certificate. Technically it looks quite good, though the engine is low
on compression.
The interior looks very pleasant too. I'm thinking about it.
It would be nice to have a complete Gipsy in stead of my "special" , but I'm not sure if I should. I don't think I could sell mine or cannibalise it for the other one. I did get quite attached to my old buggy.
