A random selection of posts about travel and tinkering with mechanical machines. Mostly cars from 1937 to 1999, manufactured in English speaking parts of the world, but also kayaks and sewing machines. So here you can see how we travel, drive, paddle, break fix and find on a regular basis. Fun with Jeep Academy
Attended a Jeep Academy with the Dutch Jeepclub.nl in my little CJ. I must say the Academy principle works well and the Jeepers made a friendly and helpful crowd.
The Jeepers are divided in groups of about five cars. Each group is attended by a marshall to show the way around the circuit and to encourage drivers to try new challenges.
The marshall also makes sure the drivers stay within the limitations of their vehicles and skill level. A good way to limit damage and introduce new offroaders to the hobby. I think other offroad clubs could benefit from adopting this set up.
