Young- en Oldtimerday Nijmegen

We were invited for a scenic run by a local group of classic car enthousiasts.

The run took us from Nijmegen to the historic town of Wageningen using scenic and narrow winding roads

We took the ferry back at Lexkesveer.

It was good to see enthusiasts of classic cars of all ages enjoying this run together.

This Autounion took 'Best car"

And it was very good too!

Quite the contrast in size and age
This shows a later Mercedes can be a pretty sight too

A rare sight this Oldsmobile

Dragstrip mods: lowered front, sidepipes and lifted rear
Another small British vehicle: US spec.Truimph Spitfire

Pretty in any weather: Alfa Romeo Spider
Don't touch!

Shiniest Escort I ever saw since the eighties!

Very different DS

And a rare Bertone Volvo just picked up from the first owner bij the proud second. Fresh from the barn, so it'll need a bit of re commissioning.

Waiting for the ferry you have this view into a garden

How did we get in front of  this Chevy?
Queuing for the ferry

On the ferry we were parked with the bikes...
