Jeep J10 Ignition Module

 

The resin insulation in the ignition module of the Allosaurus engine had oozed out of the casing. But it seemed to work well anyway. Still I found it time to replace the module by a new Motorcraft module. 

  
The rear of the board didn't look too good. The resin and some form of corrosion formed an alien looking slime. 

The shiny new unit, now in place. It was very hard to remove the resin from the panel in the car, so some was left in memory of the old unit. With the new module the Allosaurus ran as before. So the NOS unit is working well. As the old one still worked I'll keep that one as a spare.
