Whatever we decide, the engine needs to come out. Always useful to have help while extracting an engine.
First job is to remove all items that keep the engine in place. from the top: bonnet, carburettors, battery radiator and water hoses, wires...
.. and below: drive shafts, exhaust, gear change mechanism and engine mounts.
And then we use a hefty hoist for lifting the engine out.
The Wolseley is left with an empty space.
Now we can decide what options there are: fix the green thing or drop in the golden wonder?

A random selection of posts about travel and tinkering with mechanical machines. Mostly cars from 1937 to 1999, manufactured in English speaking parts of the world, but also kayaks and sewing machines. So here you can see how we travel, drive, paddle, break fix and find on a regular basis.
