This manual Pfaff 60 came with enough documentation to date the machine exactly to 1955. According to the previous owner her mother bought the machine, but didn't use it much. The condition of the machine therefore could be called "Mint".
In the manual I found the bill of sale and a named receipt dated 22/3/1955.
This is definitely a Pfaff.
There's even a little golden decoration on the housing of the hand crank. The hand crank can be replaced by an electric motor.
Very strong mechanicals. Just straight stitch and no Zig or Zag here.
Even though it is a manual, this expensive machine came with a built in work light.
